Sir Chocolate Teapot
I've been watching the 205 and the scooter for 5 years now. For 4 years the old bloke came out and pootled around in both of them. Sadly this past year I have not seen him. He seemed to take great pride in both of them. As explained elsewhere the problem is taking them on even if free would cost euro 400 admin for car and 185euro for scooter. Insane and very upsetting. Next time I'm there I might well pump up the tyres in his memory. Wingz123, BlankFrank and anonymous user

Sir Chocolate Teapot
kringle, yes if under 30 years old still needs to pay admin fees and the bigger 4 wheel jobs. Over 30 year old vehicles have reduced transfer rates but I have no idea what they are.

00833827
we had a 127 when i was a kid - it was my grandfathers and when he stopped driving we adopted it. it was pretty bad. but not as bad as the my mothers mini that it replaced. you could see the road through the floor in that thing. flintstones style
Sir Chocolate Teapot
My grandad in the uk had a fiat 850 followed by a fiat 126. I will always remember the noise those 2 made. If I remember correctly the 126 had cruise control ! a friction held wire cable connected to the throttle pedal and to the dashboard. And lots of rust. motorpunk
Great pics! I'm often in Italy for fun and games. I've since had the Italian car bug - Alfa GTV V6 (sold before it killed me), and a '72 Fiat 500 which came from Rome with some saucy engine and performance bits, which I love. Sir 'pot, where are you in Italy? I really, really want to buy crap off AutoScout.it and drive it home but the paperwork in getting a car out of Italy looks to be a pain in the arse and I no speaky the lingo. Anyway, great thread, more pics please!
bramz7
I've been to Italy loads. It's quite something how much old stuff is about in certain areas, for example I saw a Renault 14 being used in Lecce a few weeks back. Sadly I still have the Italian car bug, despite it biting me quite harshly several times.

Beta coupe is alright if you can overlook the dreadful engineering. I can't get worked up about the Delta or Thema although a Thema turbo would be alright to own. lanciamatt
Thema turbos are rapid, I've had loads, series 2 are monsters, loads turbo lag but once on boost hold on. Series 3 have most power and better delivery of it too. V6 are best to drive, loads of torque and sound nice.
Sir Chocolate Teapot
Lancia (pronounced correctly lanchia) only sells new 1 model here, the ypsilon. They are still popular with young ladies. Available with 3 engine choices. 1.2 petrol. 1.2 petrol/gpl. And 0.9 twin Air with compressed natural gas cng. jumpingjehovahs and Burnside
Sir Chocolate Teapot
OMG, the answer to everything I ever need. All in my opinion of course but, practical, reliable, classic, good looking, canvas folding sunroof, depreciation proof, great on potholed roads, fits easy in narrow Italian garages. Easy to fit lpg system. Everything a family man needs. Restored to as new condition and for sale, no idea how much though. Only major issues is here in Italy now euro 0 cars are mostly banned from using in town. Uncle Jimmy and ProgRocker
Sir Chocolate Teapot
This weekend's bike ride Autobianchi y10 awd. This has been raised a bit and oversized tyres. Could teach a rangie a thing or two. Known this gti for eleven years. Never moved a cm. Shame as 11 years ago was OK, now beyond help. Skoda as bought new! Notice the back seats. Shame, these all look savable, especially the blue citroen, but killed off by burocracy no doubt. Just an example of what went wrong in the world, we started eating too much. Actual proof of darwin's evolution theory. Now hold your breath ladies pls for the next pics. Burnside, Skizzer, Sudsprint and 1 other

That is 1 fine motor vehicle. Maurice Marina and puntopaul
