Hmm, to do list:

Remove rear bumper, clean up the rear valance and paint it. Fit bumper.

Clean the old paint of the remaining rear arch and repaint.

Paint the rest of the car in a shite manner.

Clean off  the overspray.

Fit stickers

Securely* mount the gear lever tray.

Fill up the screen wash bottle.

Check other fluids.

Fit shock absorber bottom bushes

Get the tracking done.

Target date for completion: 1st July.

What's the problem?  You're retired now, you'll have all that done within a week.

Not unless I can manipulate the time/space continuum somehow.

Nevertheless.......... progress was made.

Last wheel arch was taken down to bare metal, rust killed and painted with red oxide.  Back bumper was removed with a bit of a fight with some rusty bolts. I won though. I'll replace them with stainless.

All of  the rear lower valance was stripped to bare metal and dealt with in the same way as the wheel arch.
