MEGABARG PRICE DROP.........NOW £650....MAY ROFFLE IF ANY INTEREST.

Now for sale. Having the key fob fixed, and two new front tyres............the rest of it seems fine. It seems to have had the following fitted recently. Both fuel pumps, alternator, clutch master and slave cylinders, front discs and pads, front lower suspension arms, and drop links.

No warning lights, everything seems to work, although key just spins in driver's door lock........according to the inter web..TADTS, and apparently it's not a job for a fat fingered oaf such as I.

Pixels on dash are even ok!

Interior is unripped, and pretty clean.

It's a bimbly old Hector, just gets on with it in a most unfussy manner

Near Maidstone......£750 to a 'shiter

More photos further down this post, would do a deal on something commodious and auto

WOULD SWAP FOR MAHOOSIVE PEOPLE CARRIER, NO BACK SEATS NECESSARY.

As well as..for the time being. C70 going well, but I do feel a bit "mid-life crisis" driving it..............Might out it when the sun comes out on a more regular basis.........

As long as you're happy with it Col.

I put a brand new battery on the V70 today

While I'm on that subject, and I hope you don't mind Col, I can recommend these geezers for batteries:

From ordering to receiving, less than 24 hrs.

Nice looking Rover by the way Col.

It's an excellent driver Col, but lots of little niggly things to sort out.

Main things are, rear wash/wipe. Courtesy lights. Little bit of front bumper missing, now bought from PFS parts, yet to fit.

I got the complete V5 with the car, so I contacted the previous owner. He was good enough to reply. He told me the rear wash/wipe never worked, but the battery never ever went flat, so maybe the lad I bought it from had me over with the battery. It's got a brand new Hankook on it now.

Most of the tailgate trim fittings are toast, but repair kits are available. Needs an engine top mount, but TADTS.

Enough to keep me occupied for a while !!

Still love it though.

Put plenty of pics up of the 75 chap.

Right it's home, no Pez station pictures, because it's half full of the devil's brew. Before I get to a few issues..have some pics

Drives pretty well, clutch feels a little heavy, and the front end, although bereft of rattles, clonks or boings, also feels a bit stiff. Biggest issue is in last pic. Remote doesn't work, and the door won't lock manually.................any suggestions?

hmmmm dismantled the key..........both the buttons are missing, although the electrical wizardry is still there............there appear to be many fobs for sale on eBay............any recommendations?

There are people on ebay who refurb fobs.

You have to send it to them - obvs.

Might be worth having a butchers.

Much like Gadgetgricey I used the first generic keyfob to replace the two on my 75, which were in this state.

It was just a case of taking the electrical bits from the old key and transferring them across to the new set (and being absolutely sure the small cuboid transponder didn't go missing)

The result was this, both keys are still operating perfectly today.

The spinning round in the barrel issue is rather odd though. Is it possible someone had tampered with the lock when trying to get in illicitly, causing some damage in the process?

Trouble is, I'm not sure if the actual electrical wizardry inside the fob is buggered or not..................have found a bloke not too far away who'll replace the whole innards, with a new fob, for £20..........reckon I'll go down that route......
