Dangel 504 4x4 Pickup parts required.

I think that you should talk to the 504 registrar of Club Peugeot UK about it.

Is that Ian Kirkwood as mentioned above? I did find mention of a 504 pickup in RHD here https://pscuk.net/threads/70177-Old-pugs-are-still-working-hard in post #7. The chap who owns it was told it was some sort of prototype by the chap who sold it so maybe that's possible?

I'll have a go at getting the remains of this bearing out when I get chance but it's looking like I'll have to get the drivers side off too to measure as the remains of this one are lost. I might but a vernier as I lent mine to a mate some years back, he then let someone else use it and fucked it, it's probably about time I had another tbh.

CBS in Kidderminster is our local supplier but not used them in many years so don't know if they are any good anymore?

Ian isn’t the 504 registrar, but that person would be a good person to ask too. They really saved me a lot of beating around the bush with my 305.

How much? That's mental! Ever so slightly cheaper than some Mitutoyo ones.

It would be nice to find out a bit more about it too if they have any info?

Great, thanks. I might pop and see my Blacksmith mate tomorrow and see if I can persuade the bit I've got to come apart.

It's another guy whos name escapes me.  I'll dig it up later (remind me if I don't).

Yes Ian would also be interested.  I have his phone number.

Dangel loved to change parts frequently, 505 is not the same.

Check here for bearing sizes used, they differ by vin. Pages 38Z xx.

http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/classic/AIDE/8504C/FB/G3/index.html

If you can't find somebody selling the bearing by size. let me know the part number and i will ask around the 504 scene for it. I can also search for the missing hub, need the correct part number.

I didn't get the vin sorry. I'll look for it next time thanks.

is the Vin still needed? I can try look up the registration on the website Iv been using for all my Invacar stuff?

and if so who do I pm it to? :)

What is so difficult about reading the VIN and then follow the link i posted where all the parts are shown in most beautiful graphics  and the bearing sizes are nicely printed using easily readable text, it's not even comic sans.

I can probably get the VIN, but its not my vehicle and i know the VIN is considered somewhat personal information so im waiting for the OPs permission before I go pulling it up :)

(as a side note, I cant read french, but is Number 2 on page 1 of 38Z the bearing in question?)

I don't know, check the graphic for what you need, then match the part with the reference on the right side by number. Roulement  =  bearing,  jusqu'a = up to (VIN) , depuis = from (VIN).

Maybe check page 37A as well....

Maybe the OP isn't in a very good place in his life and has a beer problem and forgot your very useful information bit is still trying to help out a friend for nothing and save a very cool bit of old kit.

Ta for the reminder, I haven't seen the truck since the last post but the hub is still intact I'll check on the vin.

Ok, so according to the link provided by pshome it looks like I am after a 6 digit number starting with CA? So I'm assuming this plate is it as I translated Carrosserie to Body in English, assuming that CA is an abbreviation of that?

It looks like then the bearing I want is No 2 part number 3326 34? Measuring 42mm internal by 84mm external by 36mm width.

I've put up a photo as I think the chances of someone trying to ring a rhd Dangel 504 pickup are relatively remote  these days?

The inner wings look surprisingly solid which is good.

looking up the registration with my Number plate to VIN thingy spits out a completely different VIN number FYI...

Under all the crud on the outer race there is probably a makers id and part number. A bearing specialist should fond enough to work from in the numbers.

I've scrubbed it up best as I can and no trace sadly.

First link on ebay brings me up with this SKF 444090 AB https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wheel-Bearing-SKF-444090-AB-for-PEUGEOT-504-SIMCA-TALBOT-42-X-84-X-36/202302792702?epid=12018803270&hash=item2f1a2fa3fe:g:Tq4AAOSw0KhcevVc

Get measurements from the inner race & outer race.

Width / I.D / O.D / Type of bearing (Ball, needle etc)

And throw us the info, I'll hopefully be able to identify it.. possibly supply one

Hi, does this offer still stand as getting closer now?

LBF, here's the other two plates if you get 2 mins to confirm anything, ta.

CA is the "numero CArrosserie", chassis number, the little tag left of the Peugeot plate, reading 117647 in your case.

Great, thanks, very much for confirming that  8)

An SKF bearing appears to be available from Serbia for £38 posted, would you think that is around the right figure? SKF's site doesn't seem to list it and the other UK based suppliers don't list that size either so I'm assuming it is obsolete?  :?
