Absolute perfect spec ZX right there. I'm pretty sure the early TDs are pre cat too, and are slightly higher tune, my old 212k one felt like a bloody rocket. Admittedly that was coming from a 1.4 BX....

I'd ordinarily be all over that but I prefer the Alfa.

When was the last time you saw a 1.6S? A bag sounds ok. Two digit plate joy.

But, MOT history shows plenty of welding.

My mum had  a blue one in 2001? She would race people from the lights....  It was irrelevant that the other person didn't know that they were in a race.

It got stolen from Humber Bridge country park. :(

£700+ bidding on one and a £995 tag on the other. Really? Have these suddenly become super-desirable? They are very nice but the market is surely limited? Interesting to see what they go for.

I'm not sure why that auto has been bid up so strongly so quickly. The TDs are worth some coin to some people, but an automatic D is not particularly desirable. White room wannabes maybe spot a tidy version of an undesirable car and see a chance to make money now? Shill bidding? Who knows....

I get a good vibe by this...

A Mk2 Golf, 1.6 Auto...

Currently sitting at £124.Not bad, history (from what it says on ebay)  other than:

ssues:

It is running well with the exception that it has recently started making a noise, although not consistently. I've spoken to my mechanic and he said it was difficult to identify but that it could be related to the gearbox but that he wasn't sure and I was unwilling to put anymore money into the car to find out!

A real bargain or possible money pit?
