don't remember a side exhaust on my mothers LeCar when she had one in the '80's

For some reason French 2cvs also had side exit exhausts. Something to do with gassing other cars and not pedestrians.

This is on Facebook for sale, too. Think it started about £1395, then was last about £995, iirc.

If ever a number plate was writing cheques, these would bounce like a flubber doorman on a lolo ball.

Controversial, but I prefer the saloon version of the Mk3 Granada over the hatchback or estate. Least practical and probably the least valuable, but they look a bit classier than the other variants, which really do look like plus sized Sierras (I still would though).

Management spec 2.0 Ghia Automatic with MoT until November.

That Humber collection is amazing  -  one man's work over decades.  There has been talk of the local authority acquiring the collection and opening it up as a museum but I suspect that will never happen :-(

Y-reg Cavalier 1.3 in that X-RATED light green quite a few came in.

It doesn't look too bad, apart from the large amount of rust around the rear arches, but the avocado green interior almost makes up for it.

Really surprising to see a diesel Cavalier looking so good. Looks clean enough and up for auction with no reserve (although there appears to be quite a bit of interest in it, even though there are six days left to run on the auction).
