JeeExEll
Lovely 1964 Triumph Vitesse with a 1600 straight-6.I've never heard one of these running and can't imagine what they'd be like to drive. A smooth little short-stroke engine from 55 years ago.Quite a stunning little car. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1964-triumph-vitesse-1-6/183764160917?hash=item2ac9329195:g:hCUAAOSwAPxcqNBw purplebargeken, Remspoor, Asimo and 11 others
Mr Laurence
Oh, a local lad had that. Think he resprayed it (really) and knocked a few quid profit out of it. Meanwhile, in Nottingham. He's either dumped that and started cycling home (unlikely) or is about to stop and crack one off in the bushes (likely) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-ASTRA/362610845750?hash=item546d4a6836:g:GzsAAOSwh0Nco7UdInteresting... About 15 years ago, my dad had an Astra identical to this, the same spec colour, everything. At the time, he didn’t live far from Nottingham. I know it’s unlikely, but I can’t shake the feeling this might be the same one.... Cavcraft

lesapandre
I can count 10 giffer trinkets on the Vitesse, including the radio ariel. They are ok to drive, nippy, plenty of squeaks and shakes because of the construction - they also have an odd fibreboard gearbox tunnel for added fun. Offset steering column I recall. This is an early one with the swing-arm suspension - can be a bit frisky and break away suddenly with sprited cornering. I had one. I would not have another. To me it didn't feel like a car - more a lot of components bolted together. JeeExEll
JeeExEll
^ In 1964 if you'd bought a 55 year old car it would have been made in 1909. Paul Dupart, Sudsprint, Christine and 2 others
