The jeep from which this body was removed was the subject of a recent TV restoration show for National Geographic and they used a repro tub and discarded this original solid body!!

They fail to say it was burnt out in a garage fire and the body twisted and warped hence why it was removed and scrapped.

That Panhard is absolutely magnificent and has made my day just looking at it - the big pic's just fine! Seriously one of my all time dream cars - what a fantastic shape from 1963. Apparently the 1985-89 Toyota Celica took its inspiration from this. Price looks eminently reasonable, as long as you could find someone to finish it properly.

Today Val is going to show you how to make a Police Car out of some sticky back plastic and a washing up liquid bottle.

First take a £700 Allegro (does actually look nice). £3.76 on a plastic Police sign. £2.56 on a blue beacon.

and to finish off add £2,300 profit and hawk on ebay

Looks like you have to peel the police sticker off that allegro to open the driver's door

I definitely would!

It's over £1K already with six days to go.

It does look a lovely car and the S model has been a rare one for years. I'm amazed that its reached over £1000 already considering its located in the back of beyond in the depths of Wales in a county that doesn't even have a motorway in it (they had the first set of traffic lights in 1998, true.)

Am I correct in thinking that's been plate-raped?

Nope, TSA is an Aberdeen series used from July 1960 to April 1961, which seems about right ;)

Not bad, but the seller doesn't half talk some bollocks:

'AS INTERIOR IS GREAT'

''THERE IS ALMOST NO WEAR TO THE INTERIOR TO THIS CAVALIER , JUST TO THE DRIVERS SEAT SIDE BOLDER AS PICTURED''

'THIS MONDEO IS IN A REALLY PLEASING CONDITION'

Plus a 3,000,000 word essay on how great a 150,000 miles, MOT-less car is, and how it might be good for banger racing

WTF has happened to those doors?! Is it thicker steel because of the armour plating? Looks like they're made out of a Chinese container ship.

Posted

It's not thicker steel, its a great thick slice of wob to cover the cut-n-shutted back doors, I bet there's some horrors under that vinyl roof too!

Slight rust on passengers doors

No shit. Still nice though.

Clicking on that led me to this X-pack Capri, which isn't tat and isn't cheap but it's given me the raging horn and I wanted to share:
