eBay tat volume 3.

I must admit to a slightly disturbing liking for these generic euroboxes; there's something very simple and honest about them.  You don't often see the uber base-spec versions with bare steels and black bumpers, especially in this condition.  I prefer a bit of velour in mine, mind.

This W140 S500 only has a few more hours to go. If the mileage is genuine (MOT history and  condition of the interior would suggest so), and the price stays under 1500GBP, this is another screaming deal I will need to pass on. If this was two-tone black/grey, I couldn't hold myself back probably.

I agree these early base spec are rare. My uninformed guess is they started spec'ing these up fairly quickly once the Focus came along. Because later in the run almost all of them had air con, alloys etc.

Oh shit, just 5 miles away or less. Lucky for me it's a pretty vanilla fairly late 1.8 lx which only slightly excites. Also tiny bit salty. It needs 4 new window weatherstrips for a start and that's £80-90 (not merely cosmetic, the old ones scratch the glass).

No idea about cambelt.

Obv egg Mondeo inspection services are available.

On a Kent number plate as well aghhhh!

Probably a late Mayfair, IIRC they had the HLE 998 engine/box/final drive.  An A-reg HLE should also have a mk1 interior and a fluid-activated Verto clutch, but I can't see a master cylinder for that.

Lancia Fulvia Berlina Gee Tee, middle-rank mafioso spec with polythene still on the door cards. Woof.

Being half Italian I should know this, but is it still virtually impossible to export a car from Italy due to the aggro with the plates?

Last time I looked into it i could buy a car with an Italian ID card, with the transfer being done by a notary (costing about €400) or promise the seller I'd Fed Ex the plates back and they declare as scrapped.
