Billy to the WINNERFONE.... Strangely I nearly bought one of these - same spec - but blue when I bought my 1300 Merit estate - mk2, but i couldn't stretch the the extra £350 at that point. And the minute I drove the merit off the forecourt, I regretted not pushing myself that bit further.....this one looks LUSH, and proof that 'twas not always the case that ORL VOCKSALZ R SHIT. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-ASTRA-MK2-BELMONT-1-8-LXI-ESTATE-63K-F-S-H-2OWNERS-VGC-NEW-CAMBELT-ETC-/201479878445?hash=item2ee922f72d:g:b4YAAOSw7hRWP3Oz£2495

2.0 pez. MOT March, 99p start no reserve, Chorley. You'll just have to imagine a picture of the interior and one of the engine by though.

About 1.5 miles from me. Never had one of these, I suppose I'll have to one day, just not from this seller.

Are they fuck!!!!! Look at it!

Oh aye, so we're not including the actual pick-up bed among the 'important bits' of this Mini pick up then right?

Start price:

Fuck off!!!

The ONLY important bits are the V5.  I can get replica ID's made up and find a nice pickup to fit them to.

IF I was a Criminal. Instead I've reported it to VOSA to put a marker on hopefully.

Did I say, that having owned more than one classic mini in the past, this kind of thing boils my piss. Selling a ball of puss, with a V5 which is NOT restorable, and will only appeal to the criminally intent should be stopped.

Crimestoppers? The seller hasn't committed a crime, he cannot be held legally responsible for what whoever buys his pile of shit does with it.

You might as well report Audi for the way their customers drive or Haribo for nonces luring kids. As for Smith and Wesson and Stella Artois -lock all the fuckers up for corporate murder.

Steady on with that, do you want 'old cars in shocking condition' to have some sort of order on them stopping them from ever being restored?? That sounds like a shockingly BAD idea to me.

It's a difficult area isn't it. I don't know about minis, but there are certainly 2cvs about that aren't what they purport to be. Nothing bad about a replacement chassis or engine etc, but swapping a VIN plate from a pre 1970 onto a 90s body has been done a few times.

It's a horribly grey area where each case needs to be taken on its own merits. That mini pick up does look completley unrestorable and it's ringer potential is massive but an unearthed prewar Rolls-Royce Phantom II chassis would look similarly unrestorable to VOSA and get the same treatment.

Folk selling two chassis plates and a V5 on the other hand should be boiled in their own piss.
