Lookit! The tailgate descends behind the rear bumper in order to open the rear load space, which in a car this size is gonna be absolutely...

Which is absolutely shit in Winter. Guess how I know.

Besides, you have to stand where the photographer stood in order to realise how big that tailgate is.

These cars can looked really cool slammed and with a nice paint job and one was featured in a recent issue of Retro Rides

Which of course would make a mockery of it being 4x4!

What a wazzock!

An actual Peugeot 605!!! I've always wanted one of these.... Especially in 2.1 diesel flavour!

Ooh yes, but only once that numberplate's been replaced.

I like how the French gave you every luxury car option in the early 90s - if you wanted something to be ultra-subtle and blend in, Peugeot 605.  If you wanted something a little more unusual, Renault Safrane.  If you were clinically insane, Citroen XM.  Mind you, you'd have had to be a bit mad to buy any of them brand new, they all probably depreciated so fast from new it would have been more economical to burn the money note by note.

Haven't seen a Sirocco for ages! Not that long ago there were loads for sale for not much cash!

Ooooh pre-bodykit GTI.

That's a good example of a pretty unusual model. DX injection is surprisingly quick and economical.

Most of the ones that seem to come up on eBay are fucked. The good low mileage ones seem to change hands on the Scirocco Register Forum.

Still got no idea why the dubbers aren't pineapple-ing them.
