This is very tempting ... Despite the fact that I've just sold one Lancia, and will be away from home for the foreseeable future.

Oooh, barn find:  however looking at the grass growing around the tyres it looks more like it's spent the last ten years in a field in Wales, I'm sure that's not affected it adversely.

Massive slab of Yank-ness for £800. Paint issues but has a years ticket and low miles.

Oooh, hello sexy!

It does look a bit rough in places but some black paint, with white on the roof and doors and some extra lights, would sort that out.  This is positively singing at me.

I was about to hit the 'Add to watchlist' button.

This is certainly appealing and emits the right vibes of eccentricity going down an English road.

Its waftbargetasticness is undisputed and It would also look nicely out of place in a place like - say - Lacock.

Then I wondered, why the septics consistently throughout history selected a kind of paint for their cars (and everything else, while we are at it), that doesn't survive the first Winter. Or Summer. Or car wash.

This lead to further wonderage and my conclusion is that for the same money, I can get a contemporary car, that is similarly grandiloquent, has an acceptable cylinder count, drives the correct wheels, has arguably the best build quality ever, and is painted with a substance that doesn't lose its lustre even after 20 odd years.

Cheapish GTA turbo for sale by an Alpine specialist, no T&T though. The million dollar question ... What's needed for the MOT?

Engine/ box out and turrets repaired + brake lines renewed
