RobT
This looks pretty nice: 416 GTi. £850 with a full ticket and a few months rent chucked in. I've got my eye on that, although being a tight wad I don't fancy paying £850 for it. Or do these ones earn a premium?

If its solid underneath and the interior isn't too bad then its a decent price. Mr_Bo11ox
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hot-rod-rat-rod-classic-car-custom-Morris-Oxford-/111120824109 It started life in 1949 as a 4 door Morris Oxford. The builder, a pro street drag chassis builder, then removed the rear doors, elongated the front door to suit, dropped and moved forward the roof line, split screens front and rear and a peak over the front, widened the front and rear wings, built the most amazing side sills etc. most of the mechanical components of the car including the engine, running gear, suspension, wiring are from a 1990 Maestro diesel clubman. This is so well suited to this kind of car, so easy and cheap to fix anything, and will just keep on going It runs really well and gives amazing MPG. I have just done a 400 mile trip last weekend, in the hottest weather possible and it ran like a clock

wuvvum
Yo hhhugues, would it not be worth just driving the fugging thing back anyway? If you get the ferry from St Malo you'll only have about 40 miles to drive, and the chances of you getting a tug in that distance are minute. Alternatively you could take a set of British plates with you and swap them over just for the drive to the ferry - as long as you're not speeding, Frogplod won't usually bother a UK-registered car.
