mark 2 granny estate £3500 start Bury St Edmunds. It's got the same colour scheme as the Sapphire limited edition - theres no mention of it being one in the listing, and I don't know if they were available as an estate? Plenty of Ford fans on here will know.  @Shite Ron @sheffcortinacentre @sierraman and anyone else who knows....

That is lovely, 1979 was the first year a Ghia estate was available, as above the Sapphire was only available as a saloon but many midnight blue estates had a silver bottom half respray back in the eighties.

Seconded. Fox body Mustangs are one of the most tuneable American cars of the period. They're not 'trading on former glories' at all.

TBH, most Sixties Mustangs are hopeless, gutless posing pouches as standard, that don't go, steer, or stop; their saving grace is that, thanks to decades of accumulated knowledge, they can be made to go and handle very well indeed.

I had a V6 Fox Mustang 20-odd years ago and that didn't really steer or stop either, but it went OK and sounded nice and definitely a lot less of an insult to the name than the '70s Mustang II, or that dreadful electric SUV thing they make now.

That's a Connoisseur SE so would have had cruise as standard.

It's worth sending the seller a message for the sake of telling him how much of a scumbag he is alone.

Think it was an option on the non-SE.

Sorry yes, I assumed so. I meant it was only standard on Connoisseur SE. It's a shame it seems quite rare on the others. I've very rarely seen it on anything other than a Connoisseur SE and I've occasionally seen those without it (I assume either replacement steering wheel or factory parts shortages)

It’s actually fucked and if not available for scrap value it’s not worth it.

I’m betting it was a trade in that they got burnt on and now are trying to burn someone else

Or Project Drive...

The non-SE Connoisseurs briefly lost their leather trim after the facelift - it was later reinstated for the final cars.  I only found this out when I bought (sight unseen) a 2004 Connie with a beige interior hoping to nick the rear seat squab for mine, only to find out that it had velour.  This might have applied to other equipment as well.
