1958 VW Beetle

"factory standard model"

"Please note that no engine comes with the car"

"Key points:

  • LHD
  • 4in narrowed beam
  • CB Front disc brakes
  • Pro comp gearbox
  • 60% Berg shifter
  • Race axles
  • 12 volt conversion (note the semaphores have never worked)
  • Beard seats
  • Rear seat trimmed by Bernard Newbury in fat biscuit style
  • AutoMeter Sport-Comp Monster Shift-Lite Tachometer
  • Not shown or fitted but I have the matching grey tunnel rubber (new)."

"Standard models are very rare in the UK and this is a great example" 🤔

If it becomes completely impossible to get my LS400 back on the road then that's the sort of thing I need to look out for next year.

I know someone who will be selling a Toyota Crown soon, it's a six cylinder one.

WTF cannot people be arsed to move the car away from the jetwash they've just spent £5 on before photographing it.

Those are supposed to be very rust-resistant. This is the first time in 23 years I've seen a TT with fucked front wings. And it's not even a particularly early one.

By standard they are referring to the model which came without the chrome trim, fuel gauge etc. of a Deluxe which are much more common in the UK.

I’m not an expert on Beetles , but I’m sure “factory standard” included an engine.

'IF THIS WAS A TRANSIT IN THIS CONDITION IT WOULD BE WORTH £5000 PLUS.'

Sadly, they don't say plus what. I would hazard a guess at £4,300's worth of Class A in the glove box.
