Looking at these lately, what's the engine to go for? Facebook has the 3.0 down as the best of the bunch as the 2.0 and 2.2 are as you say, ticking time bombs. No negative opinions on the 2.3 though? I reckon a minimum one in every three Morris Minors looked like this Jesse's diets Oil Tanker Orange/red one morris minor | eBay 'Please remember everyone's opinion of a vehicle is different' Yes, mine did back in the mid-nineties: a rough hand painted red 2 door, c.1960. It was minging. Can’t recall clearly now, but think I bought it for a few quid from the short lived dodgy car auctions off The Level down Lewes Rd, Brighton. Used to park it on the main A259 road outside my flat in Kemptown, if anyone remembers seeing it. When I’d had enough, advertised it locally and it was bought by a self-appointed junior “marque expert” from Peacehaven. Daft lad. Wonder if it made it back on the road or was dismantled for parts . . . Not long after, I found another in a front garden in Bexhill, bought it and had two reliable years out of it. I even commuted from Brighton to Haywards Heath in it for a few months. Hand painted/ rattle canned grey primer and green, a great car. Possibly the last years of genuinely cheap workable Minors. I assumed the 2.0 would be the HDi as fitted in earlier vans. Asimo
The hood and the windscreen must go, (do you need wipers with aero-screens?) but otherwise this Lomax appeals. Quite a rarity as it has GSA powertrain and 75% GSA suspension and brakes. Fully sorted, I bet this could embarrass one of those Morgan tricycles on bumpy roads. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1282988465785265 Fun fact: Zafira and GS front brake discs are interchangeable!
