It's a £1,250 van for £3,950 and if you do convert it back to diesel you're essentially faced with a ticking time bomb 2.2HDi or a spazzy 2.3 Iv*co engine.

Looking at these lately, what's the engine to go for? Facebook has the 3.0 down as the best of the bunch as the 2.0 and 2.2 are as you say, ticking time bombs. No negative opinions on the 2.3 though?

The 2.0 seems ok, the 2.2 is a bit of a gamble, imho.

In the old days. I reckon a minimum one in every three Morris Minors looked like this Jesse's diets Oil Tanker Orange/red one

Yes, mine did back in the mid-nineties: a rough hand painted red 2 door, c.1960. It was minging. Can’t recall clearly now, but think I bought it for a few quid from the short lived dodgy car auctions off The Level down Lewes Rd, Brighton. Used to park it on the main A259 road outside my flat in Kemptown, if anyone remembers seeing it. When I’d had enough, advertised it locally and it was bought by a self-appointed junior “marque expert” from Peacehaven. Daft lad. Wonder if it made it back on the road or was dismantled for parts . . . Not long after, I found another in a front garden in Bexhill, bought it and had two reliable years out of it. I even commuted from Brighton to Haywards Heath in it for a few months. Hand painted/ rattle canned grey primer and green, a great car. Possibly the last years of genuinely cheap workable Minors.

DW12? Not too bad in Mondeos, was it? Or XFs for that matter. Decent donk IMO, and not that different from the 2.0 that was fitted to a gazillion Mondeos/407/C5 etc

Ahh, that's the end of my limited knowledge, then. I assumed the 2.0 would be the HDi as fitted in earlier vans.

The 2.3 seem to pull well, but by God the noise is annoying if you boot them.

Next, a 1994 1.1c 5 door "Unfortunately doesn’t start but it wouldn’t take much to get it going"

My Mum's '83 Metro Auto had hand controls. And PAS (specialist fitted). And a big battery from a truck, because she only used it to bumble about the village.

I love this, but my god that number plate is rather fitting.

Not sure if this is the right place for this as technically not for sale (but it might be)

Low mileage giffer owned Ovlov 940 MOT'd and running fine but heading for the crusher due to owner giving up driving..

At Trents recycling in Poole

Once cars have arrived at Trents, they terminally doomed aren't they? That Ovlov looks way too nice to be cubed.

The hood and the windscreen must go, (do you need wipers with aero-screens?) but otherwise this Lomax appeals.
Quite a rarity as it has GSA powertrain and 75% GSA suspension and brakes.

Fully sorted, I bet this could embarrass one of those Morgan tricycles on bumpy roads.DD9B5079-1DDC-4B8E-9863-64C346DC3547.thumb.jpeg.a6e0252bf6d03b68a5cb3d3815aac643.jpeg
