Lagoon supertalic must be the nicest colour i've seen on any Rover.

That is lovely.  Nice colour, nice wheels, sat nav, sunroof and headlight washers.  Shame about the extraneous stick-on chrome tat though.

Base spec, very 90s shade of green, decent MOT, tide marks on the sills. Still has years of pizza delivery left in it.

May be an image of car and outdoors

About 4 miles from me; was tempted until I saw just how many MOT fails it's had for corrosion!  Also being sold by a trader, not that that's necessarily a problem.  Great colour though!

Might still be worth going and having a nose about for the sake of 4 miles - if it's been repaired to a decent standard, happy days.

If it's a patchwork quilt of bean tins, wob and sadness, then you've not wasted too much time.

I always fancied putting a t-series turbo in one of these as apparantly they fit on the o-series engine mounts.

Clearly i can't be arsed doing that but you can dream.

Just find a rusty LS400 and drop in the V8 and autobox.

For an 800 that has allegedly been kept in the dark for 14 years that is some impressive dash lift:  It's probably more to do with the need for a new windscreen so that one needs a good sniff test and the floor panels checked out.  Not really credible the engine is torn apart and then, for the price of a waterpump, the jobs halted.  Would love to believe it is kosher, but I think not.

To be fair, could it not have done that (or most of it) before it went into the garage?

I hope it hasn't been standing outside with the windscreen leaking long term, because that would make it definitely a goner

MG ZT V6 running* on Dinosaur farts. £1200 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295197639167 Tipton, which is further North than my passport and inoculations will allow.

Quote

The car suffered a head failure on the motorway what happened the rear middle spark plug on the back bank of the V6 popped out the thread holding the spark plug in failed it will need a new head. I have had issues like this heli-coiled in the past but the repair is no usually a long term fix. However i have purchased a pair of very low mileage Heads that can come with the car if a suitable deal can be arranged with the purchase.

Sounds like a good 'un (above issues aside), well written advert and sounds like he's done some quids on it before it went bang, like the ungrateful bastard cars are..... Nice colour too.

Just found this, way above my budget and likely way above everyone's here, but just look at it!

Triumph Herald 12/50 saloon - 1967 - Shorrock Supercharged | eBay

s-l1600.jpg

I really really would.  I love a Herald; our 1963 12/50 carried my L plates way back when.  ALL the style and practicality that modern cars haven't had for at least 20 years.

Dictionary definition thereof!  It can't be repeated enough: that's pure delight.

Is it wrong that I hate the RIMZ?

You're all probably going to tell be that they're Carlos Fandango Ultragroovys and worth a squillion quid....
