neil1971
Fiat X1/9 on Marketplace, Colchester, Essex "The time has come to part with my X1/9. Due to ongoing health issues I won't be able to complete it, so regrettably it has to go. First year of import, Serie Speciale model, originally a 1300, but a previous owner put a Strada 1600 Twincam in, mileage unknown, as the original engine blew. I have sourced every missing part, mainly trim and have had components blasted and powder coated. The coolant system has been completely upgraded and refurbished. The list of spares is comprehensive, with duplicates in some cases. Rust to front nosecone, floorplans (new pans included). Paint chips and marks. Haven't started it in almost 2 years, but turns easily. Worth a small fortune in spares alone, but I'd like to see it back on the road. Offers invited." Is that one of those 'not actually that big a problem' problems? The discs are inboard on the front on the DS but the pads are massive and unlikely to need changing with the sort of mileage a classic car does. Yes, it's easy on a 4 poster, with a support and new, genuine parts. Otherwise, good luck. DSdriver

A pain if you do need to do them, but the owners club is sufficiently big and friendly that there will always be someone experienced who is willing to assist with the job.
