Looks fairly good, until...

Hang on, what the FUCK is going on under there?

Is that a KFC chicken bucket or boiler flue for an air intake!?

Exhuast manifold wrapped in exhaust johnnies (definitely wasn't leaking and bodged m9)

How dare the iconic K-Series filler cap be changed to BLUE 🤢

Why is the Alternator gold?

Green cam sprockets and cambelt cover 'delete' - no, it's not a Cosworth. Don't try and make it look like one.

A fairly nice car ruined ☹️

I see its sold but this makes an ideal easy/first project car.

Japanese cars are reliable and I've heard stories of cars needing minimum recommissioning to get back on the road, also supposedly does over 50mpg

Having owned one once, we had to replace coolant hoses with random parts found in a motor factors, some copper tubing and jubilee clips.

The rust on the rear screen surround was amazingly bad, and the oil consumption was similar to a 2 stroke.

I'm not sure where you're based, but on these shores most Whizzkids were rotten three decades ago. I'd imagine parts availability is challenging to say the least.

Whilst they're intriguing little things, I think one of these little rarities would be far removed from the definition of easy first project...

I was thinking, just that. I seem to remember one of the classic mags had one as an “ Our cars” type project and it took years to get back on the road.

HK put his up for sale a few years ago - I've got a feeling it now lives with another member on here? It looked like a huge potential money pit despite looking tidy at a glance.

A lad I used to work with in the early 90s owned a black Whizzkid. It's the first and only time I've ever stood next to one in the metal. I guess only a few were imported to the UK? Understandably, our climate hasn't been particularly favourable to the few survivors.

Fancy the ideology of a Prius but the sleek looks of an Accord? Well I present to you a Honda Civic IMA

EML light is on, "just needs an O2 sensor M9"

Yes, I'm absolutely sure it's just a sensor at fault and not someone has nicked the cat or the vendor has cashed in on the cat (delete as appropriate) and welded a bit of scaffold pole in place 🤔

Also, bonus shite points for having mismatched wipers. (Aero on the passenger side, conventional on the drivers side) 😛

Looks like the dealer who was flogging that actually managed to shift one of his cars. And that the guy who bought it immediately realised what a terrible decision he'd made.

For more questionably modified and grossly oversized vehicles, the aforementioned dealer is jap-american-imports on eBay. A lot of his stock is the same as it was when I visited over 3 years ago.
