grogee
On a Maestro tip, here's a 1600 MG that's apparently OK but unfinished. £5500 Fanbeltborough. I am on the lookout for a 2.0 EFI as my Dad had one and it would scratch a sentimental itch, particularly if it was red with a "sunshine" roof. This one, however, has the talking dash, which has a 16.49% chance of still working. I felt it was better than the Escort and the Golf. 0-60 in a round 9.5 secs It was no slouch. However, the VW gearbox was not very positive I could never get on with it. I never had stating issues. As I purchased this when 6 months old from a Renault dealer I took the straight to the main dealer to have the jets sorted out. Austin issued a kit and it was installed free of charge. The talking dash was a novelty which wore off. I did like the digital dash.
