I work with the guy who lovingly restored this a while back and runs the Japanese owners club site.. lovely car, lovely bloke. He sold it for £700 or so during hard times and weeps a little  every time it comes up for sale.

He was also responsible for this:

I wake up every morning, stumble out of bed

stretching and a yawning another day ahead

when I drive my Renner, time goes slowly by

'til I put on £1 shop wheel trims, then it really starts to fly

My baby takes the morning train

his Renault 5 is fucked again

he strolls on home down our back lane

to find me welding for him

May be an image of car, outdoors and text that says "F510 NPK"

He takes me to a movie, or a restaurant

sometimes we go dogging, anything I want

only when I'm in this, do I insist it's night

so nobody can see us in this lacquer peeled 'delight'

That would be a bargain, but the clutch slave is quite a major undertaking on those.

Right body, right fuel, right gearbox, even a nice colour, but HFM?  And of course, wrong engine.  I can still dream...

At least it hasn't been sitting on wet mud and grass because that'd be really silly...

LPG powered overvalued and underpowered battleship? 200k miles on a 1.2 petrol is honestly quite impressive if you ask me.

With petrol prices what they are and the used car market as it is, that's almost tempting. Lop 300 off the price and I'd say it's a go-er.

Very true. I've been watching it since it was listed at the original price of...

£2,000

I choked on my coffee reading that. Haha.

The truck is a 2003 on a 53 plate. It has had the Lexus LS400 motor transplanted.
The install was done by Theoc4x4 in Gloucestershire, and Hertscustom4x4 has also done some work on the vehicle.
The motor is run by a stand-alone aftermarket ECU; Megasquirt from memory.

2003 Mondeo Ghia Estate (Diesel) with power steering fault - £650 - Yorkshire : https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/132173-silver-2003-mondeo-2l-diesel-ghia-estate-for-sale/

Picture3.jpgPicture5.jpg

Silver Mondeo 2L Diesel Ghia estate for sale. 155569 miles on the clock. 2 previous owners. MOT until 27th Jan 2022.

Exterior has a couple of small dings. Otherwise exterior and interior in reasonable conditions for a car of this age. Car is drive-able but power steering needs some attention and needs new battery. There is also a small leak into the drivers side when it rains which I haven't been able to find.

Car has been serviced every year. New rear break calipers last year. Comes with towbar. Engine runs well.

Good for an enthusiast or for parts.

£650 or nearest offer.

200 quid MOT failure Rover 75.   Car take back quote is 246 ... and if it is just a spring and suspension arm a few hundred quid could allow a decent diy'er to get it back on the road... and that is the only fail on the recent test
