Worth £350 for seats and engine. If you've got space and the facilities to take it to bits, probably worth snapping it up. 81k mileage isn't too scary.

Definatley considered it, before I was a bmw nerd I had a succession of pumas, including a late 01' puma Black with them mondeo fake split rims, fond memories! It's not far from me either...

Oh that's a real shame. Imported from Switzerland in the 90s and with the same owner ever since. Here it is spotted a few months ago at its North London home (not by me)

If it's going to be broken there are lots of bits I'd like for mine (wheels, bumpers) but it does seem that once something goes on Copart is just disappears forever

Well, I guess I'll be eating my hat for christmas dinner. Now on Facebook with a private seller. MoT'd til May 2022. Quite a lot of money, but you could make this into a very, very nice car I think.

You could make almost anything into a very very nice car if you throw enough time and money at it.

That's hilariously fucking overpriced for the condition it's currently in, and being a left-hooker won't help it either.

I paid £700 (admittedly on here) for a 1.8D with an MOT until August 2022 in similar, if not marginally better, cosmetic condition.

Phase 1 GT tho, that's a pretty desirable spec. But yeah, I think it's more than double its true value at the moment. Wonder what it sold for on Copart?

Scrutiny of the photos makes me think that 30 seconds after getting this home its is going to break out in blebs of rust all over.

Early MK1 Fiestas came in cool non metallic colours. Very seventies.

MOT history on that is a depressing tale of neglect but at least someone finally bothered to fix the CV boots after being told for 7 years on the trot they were almost fooked. Looks like a £500 car to me.

For me, that is the ur-Transit. It probably varies depending on your birth year or spirit animal but that early-80s black grille seems perfect to me. Ford does 'functional' really well. The first Transit Connect is another good example.

Unfortunately I only like panel vans and not pickup.

I don't normally shout out to this local trader who is a bit mark-up happy, but this is such a glorious failure of a car. The Concorde of motoring. For the man who doesn't really care if he arrives or not.

I vaguely* rember the Mk1 being launched. Later, Dad replaced the Commer PB1500 van I practised driving in with a Mk 2 van after I'd passed the test. Later, a M8 lent me his long-nose twin rear wheel Mk 1 to move house, which got nicked after we'd unloaded it. Ford locks were atrocious.
