Tempted to take a gamble on this Bongo at Copart. Category S due to what appears to be minor front end damage. Currently at £300 with 45 minutes to go.

I assume you have factored in Copart's somewhat extortionate fees.  I've bought a few cars from them but you do need to look at the total price rather than the hammer price (you probably know this already!).

Oh that's a real shame. Imported from Switzerland in the 90s and with the same owner ever since. Here it is spotted a few months ago at its North London home (not by me)

If it's going to be broken there are lots of bits I'd like for mine (wheels, bumpers) but it does seem that once something goes on Copart is just disappears forever

I've noticed that. Weird. You'd think they were being bought from Copart to repair or break, but you rarely seem to see any sign of them again.

I guess the parts gradually find their way back out into the wild from breakers or maybe some go to specialists/restorers who strip them for parts that go into a warehouse waiting for the right car.

my Saab 9-5 was sold though there 2 years ago and just disappeared. Its shown as untaxed on DVLA , and last V5 issue date was when I moved house. Its not shown as scrapped or exported when Carbaba used to show that stuff for free.  A real mystery

This is interesting if the reserve is sensible. It has the equivalent of one years mileage. Possibly the closest to a new Montego available.

My bet's on the reserve being three bags or above.

"The car requires some engine repairs but still functions as normal.

The repairs required are to the Cylinder head casket "

Maybe it's coffin under acceleration when undertaking

That will be quite an undertaking...it's  quite a grave problem you may find the gasket has been cremated.

Few years ago when I was working for Deliveroo, I was waiting in a  burger shop in Manchester universally hated by riders for being rude, slow, and incredibly cramped. A suspiciously young looking lad in a puffer jacket doing Uber Eats (they were very new at the time and had just been on a big hiring drive) came in and dragged one of these awful contraptions into the already packed takeaway with him.

He managed to knock the fuel tank, which spun around the top tube, and pissed two stroke all over the glossy tiled floor. Everyone was struggling to keep the laughter back.
