Maestro-pervs ASSEMBLE!!!!!!

MG with talking dash, but says it's an 1985 and a 2 litre. I always thought that the 2.0 never got the talking dash - at that point it was only the VDP that got it. If I'm wrong, fair enough every day's a school day and all that. If I'm right, then this seller is talking out of his arse. Still, £2550 for something that hasn't run in 27 years......

What is that thing on the bonnet? I have seen them around and never understood what it does

It's a device to make sure that the bonnet fades unevenly and gather water and grot along the leading edge

(it's actually for preventing stone chips)

Yes very aware of that one, an attempted break in November last year has left door top damage and an owner who has somewhat lost his mojo. It looks a great car, 2 litre GLX is a nice spec as well. I'm not sure why it hasn't sold really.

Pretty sure the MG has the talking dash, VDP  and maybe another one too? Not positive on dates, though was in BL parts depts around then. Maybe came in when the MG went from carb to EFI? It was confusing IIRC.

I wonder if the bodywork has patch repair panels* supplied by the Filo Pastry people next door?
