I know nothing about anything built before 1970. I take it these related to the Morris Oxford?

Yes.  Wolseley version of the Morris 6, a stretched Oxford with 6 cylinder overhead cam engine and torsion bar suspension.  A sort of overgrown Morris Minor.   Much used by the police back in the day.

They look like the MO doors, which reminds me I've seen a black one round here recently a few times

1968 Morris Oxford for sale here in Norway for about 2400 GBP which seems reasonable. Good for rust and everything works. Know nothing about these but could happily own this. Just a shame it is 750 km away.

Ok I know its got the wrong front end on it, and its already sold, but it looks very nice!

(I swear if someone dares cuts holes in the side for some half arsed camper conversion!)

Thanks Dez; that's the one I was tagged on the other day, which I rejected for a number of reasons, not least being my perilous finances.  I didn't like several things about this van, they made me suspicious.  Shame, because at first glance it looks lovely.  Never mind; if there's one for me it'll come eventually.
