barrett
I think it's just a centrifugal clutch and some sort of torque converter, like a preselector, so it's 'neutral' at idle speeds and controlled by engine revs. Should be good in theory but I can't believe anything that complex built by half-cut men in Coventry smoking Woodbines and wearing shop-coats could actually function properly in the real world mk2_craig and spike60

It used a 'magnetic powder' that could be troublesome. It was definitely available on the Minx and probably other Rootes products as well. anonymous user

It was yellow, had very little interior, a badly fitted CalibrE body kit and a 2.0 SEH that didn't run. I also turned down a rhd 2 door ascona C 1.8 GT, which was basically an Sri or a convertible before they cut the roof off. (previously owned by someone in the armed forces stationed in germany, who had ordered it with RHD) You kick yourself. I stopped being into mk2 cavaliers when I witnessed through the power of the internet, someone, take an almost perfect 2 door, and fit a 2.0 LET, 18 inch alloys a Calibra leather interior and a CalibrE body kit to it. For some reason, I suggested it would have been better with 14 inch steel wheels, no body kit and a terracotta interior, to make a proper sleeper, and rightly g it chastised for my opinion. I mean yes, it's your car, and you can do what you like. MisterH and mk2_craig
