Were I a betting man I would say in about 10 years time £50 for a genuine factory Ford Focus rear quarter panel will be a bargain when all the OSF tax hits Mk1 Focuses and some loon is paying ££££ for any new old stock panels.

Well you could buy it and keep it in your living room for the next ten years.

Funnily enough my brother sold some if his old new stock Capri parts a while ago and had people falling over themselves to bid on stuff like a headlamp pod.

I think the truth is far, far more sad, assessing the crime scene and looking at the body shape, front suspension and pinto engine, my money is on this being an Eagle RV and the murder victim being a Ford Cortina not Scimitar or Escort. The only mystery I cannot explain is the G registration?

Hmmm,

Given how it looks, something's odd here...

It would come in handy for the cost of a divorce if I left that leant up against the hearth for 10 years.

Yes but not with a pinto or that front suspension and the body looks like an Eagle RV which was based on mk3, 4 and 5 Cortina’s😔

You're right, I had Jago Jeep vaguely on my mind and didn't look closely at the pics.

As above, DVLA says blue Reliant, 1968, 2000cc.  Fuck knows what was going on there, (possibly back in the 80s), - just re-allocate the registration I.D. of a scrap car to your kit car build and hope for the best?

This. Or it’s a ringer. What you can see of the suspension looks cortina to me.

Whatever happened to the Jago on here that was missing an ID? It wasn’t this one was it?

@Stanky's old one. Trail went dry a couple of years ago - I assume it was broken up?

Different Geeep anyhow.

I have a massive soft spot for this gen of Monty Carlos! The proportions are all wrong for starters and styling doesn't seem to match up. I get they were aiming for that 'retro' touch but it just fails. Couple up with it being a early 2000's product...I just love it! The facelift on the other and really sobers up the styling, also offering a V8 to the line up too! (FWD too yo!)

Personally love that one, if I'd seen that a few years ago. Who knows... 🤩

Ooof, they're a riot to drive, and that one has an actual reg number too so quite a viable proposition. Same colour as mine.

I sold mine to @red5 - it started ran and stopped fine but was facing a massive uphill struggle with IVA. It's a huge shame but was/is worth substantially more in parts as it's largely oldskool ford underneath.

I'd love another, but would need to be legal and they start at about £3k for a runner with replaced floors

Nice 528i but I think you could end up in the scenario I did with my Megane were your interviewed a suitable candidate rather than a buyer.

As it's the SE version it has rear parking sensors. They are still working properly and are extremely useful when parking between cars.

ah, thanks for the explanation, i struggled to see the purpose before you pointed that out.

The last nice BMW (in my book anyway), an actual colour and fifteen miles up the road.. Might make a call later if I can convince myself I need it

Pop up headlamps, nearby, must resist...

I recon that must be quite a rare car with the leather, v6 and manual box.

They still have a hint of Gareth Cheeseman about them but less and less as the years go on.
