Ah, Alfa GTVs. A car of my childhood. There was a bloke who lived across the road from my old primary school who had a GTV (perhaps even two, it was a while ago) and I recall one lunch break I saw him get into his red GTV, only to have starting issues for a good 15 minutes before he gave up and decided to walk instead. I passed the same area recently and the car is still there and looking quite cosmetically healthy.

This one on the other hand doesn't look to be as in good shape:

Been wasting time looking at Craiglist for cars in other countries I can't house, as you do.

This Mercury Capri with a 2.8 V6 turbo conversion might be of interest to @danthecapriman:

Smacks of good value at a shade less than £4400.

And on the yellow theme, this is far less of a bargain but I can't resist an early W126 in one of the bright solid colours they offered them in:

This comes a close third behind the avocado green and the ultimate bright orange I've seen these in.

Bonus points for jarringly contrasting blue trim, too:

Cheap (so far) '59 Impala for yank-tank lickers @eddyramrod & @danthecapriman:

Reminds me of the Brass in Pocket music video, even though they used a Cadillac from the same year.

But I literally cannot shake off this one, after encountering its existence a good few hours ago:

00N0N_cDPAoeyvqabz_0CI0mZ_1200x900.jpg

A 1970 Galaxie XL, untouched and with some quite juicy extras, including those most excellent trims.

00p0p_hBJj5XnHcnYz_0CI0eX_1200x900.jpg

Shit a brick!

00a0a_1mVCn3NRScGz_0CI0kg_1200x900.jpg

I'll admit I do find the very tail end a little bit of a let down, after the hooded lamps up front and the buttressed C pillars. But I'm sure I could learn to live with it.

01010_fwnk2VOEcD5z_0CI0t2_1200x900.jpg

*audible gasp from the Antipodes*

00808_5aa4nEikKqOz_0CI0t2_1200x900.jpg

Even the  Stereosonic tape system ($134.00) is woodgrain covered.

So what price a single family owned, 51 year old Ford V8 coupe with 44000 miles on the clock? £6377. Or about the same as a 4 door MkII Escort, I imagine.

That is stunning! What a machine! In fact this car should be forcibly shown to all current car designers and manufacturers as a model of how you should be doing things and why your current products are all frankly utter wank.

Is that a bullet hole in its arse end!?

Continuing the American theme, I found this '76 Lincoln for around 5 bags.

What's surprising is that this car is in Japan. It's currently in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture which is right next to Tokyo, which seems like the most challenging place to own one of these.

Very much a car for the adventurous type.

Certainly looks like one to me, after enlarging the pic!  And you're right Dan, that car is a shining example.

I can remember pulling the instruments out of one of these as it teetered at the edge of the local dumping ground back in the 70s - a worked-out clay pit. This colour too.

Think I might still have one of the gauges...

Totally not a ringing kit, honest guv! Look, there's a roof and everything!

Quote Reg number will only be given to winning bidder to be fair to them.

Although not fair to the person who loses a mini, which then ends up with the reg.....

If that's a 1962 registered car then the A suffix plate is presumably a replacement and as such might be non-transferable, so if someone's buying it to plate rape it they might be disappointed.

OK, I might just have to bid. Lack of engine is slightly scary.... though.
