I am close to M25 J3 Swanley – Phil Collins.

Spotted that near my parents house in NW Kent a couple of years ago with different wheels on. (er... One More Sight?)

Seats have to been seen to be believed!!

I know someone who wanted to add something rare to a collection he has, tempted by the phrase "condition has to been seen to be believed" in the amateur-produced auction catalogue. So he made a 200-mile journey, only to be greeted with that something rare which was only still standing on account of all the woodworm holding hands and everything else either bright red rust or warped mazak. When he confronted the auction organiser, he said "we can't be held responsible as we don't see stuff until the day before and we use the vendor's descriptions in the catalogue".

Fucking weasels, the pair of them.

My old car - price has shot up tenfold since I let it go as a MOT expired project in need of tlc a couple of years ago, although I'm not quite sure just how much "projecting" has been done, It was MOT'd 5 days after I sold it and has been through 2 owners between me and this dealer.

They have something which I think is unique in the passenger car world - a 4*2 gearbox which is sort of halfway between a splitter and a range change. You can see the two sticks here:

A previous spot of mine:

1993 Toyota Camry 2.2 GL Auto Estate

I got in touch with the owner and he had a couple of bits off me. Ad says sold, wonder if it'll remain on the road or get exported/broken?

Brilliant little cars. I briefly owned one in red with the double gearstick setup - PAF435Y. Proper little flying machine considering it had a lowly 1400cc lump. ^The one above deserves saving.

I'm most impressed they fitted it into that engine bay!

Running on skinny wire wheels with that power boost may make handling quite interesting...

I know. i think the MGC that had the 6 cylinder had chassis or subframe changes to make it fit and this engine looks bigger.

Mahindra E20 (no me neither) BOGOF but both appear to be in advanced states of fucked-ness. 1800BINS or best offer Wigan. Where the pier is, apparently.

Interesting tactic - you have an electric car with a charging issue so to fix it you buy another one with a charging issue.

I've decided/convinced myself the next classic I buy has to be a Mini. This may or may not be because of all the mini chatter on here recently...

I've figured that they're expensive but at the same time still not ludicrously expensive. Prices are all over the place for them too. I really would like a pre-80s on skinny wheels and certainly no plastic arch extensions. Likewise it has to be a full runner and not a project. I've got far too many of them!

This in particular would be lovely to own, especially as it has many of the original Issigonsis quirks. I wonder what he'd class as a sensible offer...

Of course what I'll probably end up doing in practice is buying a post-80s example with shit paint and metal weak enough that a finger will poke through. But of course I'd have got it "cheap" 😆
