Oh.... dear!  What a pile of junk, and that's from Mr Softheart!

It's reached a touch over a grand, and I think that's its level.  Running off a can, off the road 30 years, no mention of the soft-top working, or any of the electrics.  It's a top luxury car, ffs!  Everything is electric or otherwise assisted, and needs to work!  And wtf happened to the trunk lid?  That's going to be no trouble to replace, yeah right.  He says no rust, but rust is one thing these are very good at, and they're monocoque, not built on a proper chassis like a Cadillac.

In summary: I'd rather have @brownnova's Trans  Sport.

has no brakes

"photos taken 2 years ago"

It can't be that hard to wheel it out and take some pictures can it?

If the seller is that feckless, it doesn't bode well for the car's history, no matter how "rust free" it may or may not be.

I call major BS on the reason for sale being "It's running lumpy and the brakes have gone a bit TADTS". There's something he's not telling?

The latest in a series of rusty County Austins. This one is pretty rotten, and according to the ad he's got others, one of which is poking it's arse into the picture. If you look at sellers other items, he's got a Marina van and something else old looking in another. Anyhoo currently £58 Leamington Spa.

A95 Westminster,  Montego and a Farina shape MG Magnette in his sold items too

More intresting cars in the background a red and a yellow Moggie 1000s and Škoda Garde/Rapid.

There's this one, a little closer to home.  Bit of a state though and it has odd rear wings...

Fair comment M9 we all want the offspring to be safe yeah?

Well, he came out of your bollocks.... not sure I like the word "was" though.....

So, low speed impact, it'll be a smoll scrape or a cracked bumper yeah?

As bad as that looks in the picture, it's actually a pretty easy repair but I reckon he's been hit with some oomph hence the damage, I don't think that's been reversed into anything as the tailgate isn't damaged nor the upper bumper. Handbrake turn gone wrong perhaps? Or one of his hapless mates has hit it with a discovery or the like, it's an odd hit I'll give him that.

That would pull out relatively well as the impact point is quite obvious plus there's lots of trim in that area to hide any major panel beating that maybe required.

Not looking myself but if go for salvage I always try to choose a rear damage over a front as 9/10 it's far easier to get rear parts for one and easier to blend being a nice big panel. Seems to always be a lot more flexibility in lining up a rear bumper and the like whereas on a front ender you're taking rads, loads of stupid clips, underbonnet protection and so on.

Yes people argue if you get front end parts the same colour that they just bolt on but unless those parts are pristine they'll want painting anyway.

Might it not be easier just to use a new three-quarter panel for that? It's a Polo 9N, so not difficult to find parts for....

Somebody has been putting drugs in this blokes tea. Unless I'm mistaken a 3 door Shove-it that hasn't been mot'd for 4 years, ain't worth 4 bags.  And those hubcaps can get in the sea. DodgyBastard keep welding your pension fund awaits!

Mine will never be worth much because anyone would look at the mot history and massive fail list for corrosion and say fuck that!

Cheap, mouldy, brash, yellow  and MOT'd SE6. If I hadn't already had bad times with a cheap brash yellow one of these I'd be all over it.

Not cheap, but an inspiration to buy a lottery ticket. The wheels are an acquired taste but the other, hidden, modification should find universal approval.

The other one is near me. This one would mean collection thread running into days due to confinement in a hotel, not of my choosing.
