Driver's head looks as if it met the windscreen with some force too... No seatbelt perhaps? It has done well for being such an early and high trim car too. I'm interested in this point though:"doors open and close but are slightly misaligned" Ah. I have a feeling that'll decide if the car gets preserved over what the owner wants. Still, everything apart from the front is in good condition; I'm after some interior trim panels myself...

I'm interested in this point though: I'd pretty much surmised it tried to wrap itself round an immovable object like a tree or concrete lamp standard, but it was the "cobweb" of glass at head height that made me feel a little queasy. I remember going to a local scrapyard (when the things were everywhere) with my mate to get some bits to repair his Capri after it had had the stereo nicked out of it when he'd gone to a nightclub; one Capri there had an 'interesting' fold in the roof at the windscreen aperture - and in those pre-seatbelt days, there was hair and blood on the headlining at that fold 😧 I have a photo of a roofless Bini I took at a scrapyard some years ago - shall we say it acts as a strong reminder not to be a dick behind the wheel. Despite a wide selection of nice machinery, the BGT was not only what got him into classic cars but also still his favourite car out of all of them. A man after my own heart. My BGT is still my favourite car out of all that I've owned and driven. Insideimsmiling and face

A very liberating experience taking a Trabbi for a test... no engine management/abs lights, no emissions test, no engine oil/power steering leaks, no 'brake discs corroded'... on mine even the windscreen wash is manual (pump action!).
