FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T DO IT...

Have a nosey at HOOVIES garage..he had one of these, and it failed miserably...several times...even by his standards it was bad...

Great when running....but for the other 99% of the time a giant Albatross or white whale depending on your history!!

Car Wizard doesn't like them either. They're complex as fuck and I think they're just itching to pull the Visa card out of your wallet.

I'd buy a Lexus. At least it's made by Toyota.

I know Hoovie and the mechanic go back a long way, but someone who takes a hole saw to a Lambo because he didn't check over a very expensive, second hand part out of a crashed car,  cannot diagnose a misfire because the car didn't have a diagnostic port and hates the complexity and poor quality of BMWs but loves modern Land Rovers really isn't a, "mechanic" you can take seriously.

What's the gearstick about? Some kind of encrusted jizz moulding of Anneka Rice?

Which appears to be attached with blue insulation tape.

Also note the reflection in the window; the General Lee as a Reliant Rialto..?

That porno mag car reminds me of my tyre fitting days, there was a local lad with a Transit pick-up (large wooden sides) that collected old papers and magazines for pulping. He used to give us bongo mags all the time, and one day when he came in we tore a few pages out of some and glued them to the side and back of his truck. He didn't realise until he got back to his depot hours later and his boss went fucking mad at him due to the phone calls he'd received. We got a proper bollocking for that too.

I actually thought his finest hour was trying to blow the Merc gearbox up by putting the wrong fluids in :)

IIRC The Weeeezard gave Hoovie the choice of either taking the engine out of said Lambo again to rectify the fault or to cut the access hole, he didn’t agree with the hole cutting but ultimately it was  the course of action his customer wanted him to take.
As regards BMWs of the era he has been burnt with , we all know how needy late 90s/early 00s BMWs can be so it’s not surprising that he dislikes them to be honest, not BMWs finest hour and I’m a committed Beemer licker. I can also relate to his liking of newer Land Rovers as they are superb vehicles when working correctly, owning one gives me the fearz big time though!

Can’t comment on the diagnostic plug incident as I missed that vid.

I was pretty disappointed in how Hoovie behaved after the transmission oil change mishap on his Merc, no lasting damage (the oils were not too different as was pointed out at the time) and the Weeeeeezard committed to repair any issues that arose FOC and also waived the cost of repairs on quite a few of Hoovies projects too.

Needs some putting back together  but £1750 is cheap these days for a whole one.

Ooof! That is a lot of car for the money but I really must resist until my garage is finished. Fortunately black with black leather is the worst possible colour combination so I will resist. I would love one though.

can be driven on a car licence and the gross weight of the truck and caravan is 4.7 tonnes

So it can't be driven on a car licence. At least one after 1997 anyway.

Also, what really irks me about that (apart from the Iv*co) is that it's not even a 5th wheel style trailer. It's a bloody draw bar and it looks like they just welded a towing ball onto the chassis of the Iv*co above the rear axle. It looks so incredibly shonky. In that first photo I initially thought they'd disconnected the caravan and driven the tow vehicle forwards a couple of feet, but look closely and you realise that's the caravan connected to it! It looks like complete wank.

Perhaps Sir would prefer yellow?

Taxed, but no MOT history, so presumably unused for a long time.

Looking at the seller's feedback profile, I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.
