With impending SNO-Kaos mentioned daily in the weather forecast, it must be time to look at a 4x4

This is on £350, can be delivered, and it looks VERY shiny

Has a sticky starter motor, but runs and drives and can be delivered.
There must be more to it...

Well it shatters a well known saying

Talbot Samba Cabriolet 1360 - XY8 80HP

A.thumb.jpg.51a26a816f1c73bbefb67a4a32eaf92f.jpg

"Talbot Samba Cabriolet . 1360 twin carb 80hp.

Needs work to be roadworthy again. Some welding, brake service and a engine tune up. Runs on easy start and had it running from a can but it was very very temperamental.
Car hasn't had a valid MOT in many years, but once sorted it'll make a great little car. Nice and easy to work on and parts are fairly cheap. Great starter project for someone.

I bought with the intention of taking its engine out for another project but it's far to nice to break up for parts. No where near as bad as most of these."

Non-runner but looks like an honest example and only 26k on the clock. £600 starting price.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Metro-1-0L-998c-classic-barn-find/393099620267?hash=item5b86902fab:g:J4IAAOSwRK5gBG0q

I have never owned a Metro, nor have my parents or any of my close relatives to the best of my knowledge. But something about the photos of that car and the condition it’s in seem familiar, and make me feel strangely nostalgic for a time when Metros that looked exactly like that were everywhere. Seeing it and knowing that examples like that are still out there, parked outside of the sort of ordinary, suburban houses in the Midlands that filled my childhood is comforting in a way I can’t quite put into words.

Watchlisted.

Except the NBC wasn't formed until 1969 and the corporate shite red or green livery didn't come in until 1972. If you're going to restore it, do it right!!!!

Pedantic mode off !!
