Clearly not worth £5.5k, but who knew there was a US market 505 Turbo Diesel?

That seems remarkably cheap for a early 90s classic VAG. Still has MOT until March 2021 too!

I suspect the incorrect listing location, the wrong year in the title and brief description isn't helping its case.

If the boot sticker is to be believed, it has a Cat too. Given the age, its probably chocked full of rare earth and worth a pretty penny! Early enough to have the non-Cat emissions for the MOT too...

Bet that could be bought and the cat scrapped is enough to more than pay for the car.

KE-Jetronic probably, so the later K-Jetronic with a billy basic fuel mixture feedback so to not pump loads of rich fuel into the cat.  There's still lots of mechanical components so it's not as reliable as the K-Jet or an early EFI car, but they're usually fairly solid.

Possibly better than it looks, apparently work done...

Was on a week or two ago for £1200, in Thamesmead (as per first pic). If the new owner has actually done that stuff it might be worth the extra £1300... but they could have at least cleaned it and taken some decent photos. Consider me wary.
