I've always wanted an American station wagon, but there's no way I'm getting into figures like that for a non-running project!

It's £1100 man! I'd say that's about as cheap as a project car gets for anything halfway desirable. Even something like a Mk2 Cavalier or a Skoda 130 or whatever is more expensive than that for a ropey old near-scrapper. My Palladium cost more than 10 times that and it was literally a pile of bits that hadn't been run for longer than that Chrysler has existed.

Are there any other Fuselage body T&Cs in the UK? I doubt it. A quick Google reveals you'd be lucky to get change from £10,000 to get a solid '72 landed in the UK. I suspect you are not the target audience for something like this.

I'd love to see the photos of just how pogweasled that thing was after being sat for four years prior to the seller bagging it for £50...

Having said that, I see it's 'Currently sworn' possibly to secrecy, so I guess we'll never actually find out.

I have to say... I'm generally unmoved by American cars but that thing is absolutely MEGA.

Vim: I've got to think of the lyrics yet.

Den: You've got lyrics for "Excalibur".

Colin: How do the lyrics for "Excalibur" go then?

Den: They go "Excalibur, my nightmare."

Can't seem to post photos from Gumtree, but here you have a Mk1 Citroen BX.

https://www.gumtree.com/p/citroen/1989-citroen-bx-16trs-retro-vintage-classic-car/1383968465

It's mildly pineappled and has no MOT, but looks is broadly good condition and is only £500.

Edit - Mk2. But a rubbish one without the smart looking smoked indicators.

If there's a more utterly hopeless way to spend £405 on eBay tonight, I'll be fucking amazed.

That's quite nice, is that.  I'm warming to the idea of a camper (well MrsR is, which comes to the same thing) and I did always like the style of the Autosleeper.  Right engine too, and even the right gearbox!  Mind, those beaded seat covers would be straight in the bin!  If I could afford to buy it and salt it away for a month or two I would; I'd have it delivered to a handy* welder I know in Southport.  Instruction to Ken: go round it and weld absolutely everything that needs it, then spray over.  Let me know when you're done.

Er... but I can't, I haven't got the money.  Oh well, never mind.

My friend is considering selling his with the same conversion and a set of those ghastly wheels. Looks worse but possibly has less rust problems
