'Off Grid'

Off grid, or off your fucking head?

a pastiche pastel ponce parlour bed

described as 'lovely', but son, you've been misled

I'd rather sleep with the recently dead...

s-l1600.jpg

...body of me  great nan, who in her 90th year

would rather fight Germans or war in Crimea

and spend every day in war torn fear

than spend one night in this mobile diarrhea...

s-l1600.jpg

...filled tat box with its odious vapour

what a fucking palaver,  fuck this for a caper

fuck Laura Ashley and fuck her wall paper

pass me a sick bucket, pass me a scraper

s-l1600.jpg

...and let's get rid of the unbearable stink

save us from this hell, take us from this brink

of a nasty shade of 'dog's lipstick' pink

that's as 'tasteful' as taking a slash in the sink...

s-l1600.jpg

...that's probably hiding a nasty surprise

what's for tea mam, are you cooking us flies?

let's pack our bags and say our goodbyes

and give it a make over with no compromise

s-l1600.jpg

... on a bottle of gas and a big box matches

and the grass is a grave where burnt interior detaches

and we're covered in medals and big fuck off patches

for services to caravanning mentioned in despatches

Our first caravan, in 1965, was a 400!  My dad towed it behind his 1500 Corsair, until he traded that in for a lovely new Zephyr4 later in the year.  The 400 looked ridiculously small behind the Zephyr so he turned it in against a Sprite Alpine, next size up.  When we went away with him for the summer, which was our custom, there were 5 of us.....

A-frame it back behind your moped next time you're over there.  I'm sure* German plod would have no issues with that.

Er... it's standing at £8988 now. Wonder how many of those are joke bids.

Might well be of course. But wouldn't surprise me if they're not. I know of one of these in nice condition that sold for 12k! Much as I love them I'd be the first to admit there's no way they're worth anything like that.

I'm struggling to think of a less desirable car than a Skoda Rapid convertible. Absolutely horrid things. The sub-genre of cars designed as saloons and then turned into convertibles has definitely produced some of the worst vehicles ever built - Visa convertible, anything by Crayford, Skoda, PT Cruiser, various Astras and Escorts... I can't think of a single one I wouldn't be deeply embarrassed to drive, and I used to own a Reliant Regal van.

note  - a Skoda Rapid coupé is an absolute stonking motor and I'd love one

£1500/'make offer'. Seems cheap if it stays around that mark, but expect someone will bid on it which'll knock out the 'best offer' facility.

£300 start, no reserve. If it ends anywhere near that, you'd probably get £200 back off the wheels.

Looks pretty , but no danglies, an Indenor and Wrong Hand Drive make it a mere pastiche of the real bASe.

I posted that on April 2nd, you'd have thought he'd have got the hint by now....
