I had the pleasure of first learning to drive in one of these in fields in Devon. First go on clutch and gears. It was a field car affectionately called polly due to the amount of polyfiller in it.

Just resprayed and parked in a field therefore makes me think the worst.

A Leyland from Leyland with 12 months MOT - cheaper than most camper vans

I worked on these back in the day, this seems to have an old school 680 engine which is way better than the early ones which had a new fangled OHC 500 disaster fitted.

This is too far away for me, but it looks good for £495.

How would you describe that seat pattern? It looks like when a child helps paint a wall.

While other dealers are promising sterilised cars dipped in bleach to combat the 'Rona, this one is providing closeup shots of filth on the touch surfaces.

e: just noticed there's a £95 admin fee too, fuck you

Grot and MOT history aside, that’s still very sensibly priced

I hate the modern world. A lot of the things I like have been watered down and used as a veneer to promote other things.

Everybody is a hippy these days as long as it pays, everybody like an 'alternative 'lifestyle'. Poor old van...

It makes me sad...this should be running along a road in Provance not nourishing the hip ones. ? £16,000 and it doesn't drive..

Sigh...rant over.

I remember CAR magazine summing these up when new with the phrase " the prospect of crashing when six up does not bear thinking about".

Nonetheless, still would.  A Hijet/Rascal/Supercarry type van is something I'd quite like to tick off the list.

looks like a blue Sherpa to me, seems legit.

Haha what an absolute crock of shit - I wonder how many cars it took to build that - here’s the bits I could recognise

Sherpa Chassis

Reliant Robin body

Spartan Front end

Xsara Picasso seats

Mercedes wheels and grille
