Doesn’t sound particularly salty if it’s as nice as it looks

It's a 230 though, and similar examples of 230TEs without the MB-Tex are in the high £1ks. I don't think it's much more than £2500. For £3000+ I'd want a 280 or a 300TE.

Elton John

Goodbye Norma Jean
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to fight Mike Tyson
and got punched around the ring
You're scrawled out on the woodwork
by someone with no brain
They set you next to some cannabis
And they made you change your name

s-l1600.jpg

And it seems to me, that you've been sprayed
by a piss head in the wind
£1 shop aerosols trying to cling on
when the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known who
got it airbrushed by Bez
is that Jackie Charlton
above the boy from Kes?

s-l1600.jpg

Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
eBay hosted this scooter
And pain was the price that we all paid
I hope we've not yet died
when the HIAB dumps you on the ground
And the DVLA website states 'Vehicle details could not be found'

s-l1600.jpg

Goodbye Chico Marx
Though I never knew you at all
You can't be pleased to share a space
With Alistair Stewart at all
He he had to go before the the beak
The Police Camera Action king
Who escaped being seen as sexual
By the boys in Brixton, C Wing

s-l1600.jpg

And it seems to me its needs TWOCking
By a toker who's just skinned
Never knowing how to ride it,
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have heard there was a pretty epic skid
And the murals burned out long before
Your  headlight ever did
Your murals burned out long before
Your headlight ever did

And he's back. Hurray

This picture seems to frame the car nicely with most useful tool for this car in the foreground. :-)

Ideal for replicating other 1990s comedy programs too.

Hiace camper with knackered engine for a grand. It actually looks pretty neat although I imagine trying to fit a 2.7 diesel engine somewhere into the middle of one of these wouldn't be a lot of fun.

This should hopefully close all the daily threads opened on the wanted forum for a small, cheap diesel.

Not sure 48 years old counts as a "modern classic", but I suppose it's closer than an M-reg Fiesta or some of the other tripe that gets labelled as "classic" nowadays.

Edit: unless things have changed dramatically since I had mine, the seized brakes could be fun to sort - brake parts for the early cars seem to be pretty much unobtainium.

Grofl - you just stopped me thinking hmmm.............

Slightly concerning is that in a couple of the photos it morphs into a Corsa. Let's hope it doesn't do that often or you'd keep losing it in car parks.

Marina 1300 Coupe.

Location Portugal.  Price 5750€

Drive it back and the UK government gives you 14 days to do any work necessary. Maybe that is now 10 days. Maybe next week they will change their mind again.

A hairdryer would be the most useful tool for this, but there's a lovely car under all the stuck on crap.

About £2500 more than its actual value.

That 'Cortina 80's' is fantastic, what a find.  Hope someone takes it on to do up, rather than race or split for parts. Could be absolutely bollocksed mind.
