I wish you HAD NOT ASKED THAT QUESTION.

I have never done this, too scared.

Rules changed again on 1/1/2020.

Car must have a valid mot ( revisione) less than 6 months old .

Italian car owner goes to an agency to request export of car and deregister the car from italian database.

Has to give both number plates ( targa) back to agency.

Can can no longer be used on roads.

Car needs transporting abroad.

Cost i think about € 100.

Always difficult to get done in a day.

If new owner wants to drive it home then provisional plates need to be requested and a temporary circulation document issued.

I have no idea how much this costs but will try to find out as i am interested also.

I have no idea how you would insure a car as a foreigner with a car on temporary italian registration plates. Seems impossible to use italian insurance for this.

That dacia for €1200 i am pretty sure would be open to cheeky offers as i can not believe any italian will ever buy it .

Do you want some internal pics ?, i can ask.

So buy, drive to UK and post plates to Italy?

Cavalier L 4x4!! I thought that these were extinct! Someone on here was after one weren’t they? Sadly though, this one looks like it’s way too far gone to be saved

Too far gone? That just needs sills and rear arches, doesn’t it? There’s people on here that would have it winning prizes by Wednesday.

@trigger - not tax exempt but it’ll have rear seat belts.

Motorhub in Keighley had 2 or 3 of the turbo ones recently up at 9 grand a piece.

Is this quite a good buy? California import, rock solid and a runner. Interior destroyed though.
