OMG BRAN FYND. Who's barn? Neptunes? GTF. Full PPE required for collection. And it's £850 start, which sounds a bit salty to me., considering it's been sat for 5 years.

so much money for so little.

and all in bits, see its hard enough putting a car back together when you take it apart,

putting one back together that someone else has pulled to bits....

s-l1600.jpg

well good luck with that!

If I a) could weld properly and b) SWMBO fucked off, I'd be on this like a tramp on chips. Proper things these, bro' had one for a while, and it was more fun than a 205 1.9. There I said it.

Not on eBay, but is certainly for sale and very definitely falls into the tat category...

Parked not far from where I work, and at first glance I thought it might be my dad's old Mercury Grey one.

But it's not.

Hmm.

Hmmmmmm.

Hmmmmmm.

How much, I hear you ask?

At first I misread it as 'Ghia 4x4', and thought, well mebbe... but then I saw it was 'Ghia 4x electric windows'.

Looks like a £200 price drop has been applied, but even so... as a serial licker of old Fords, I've cried over enough MOT failure sheets to know that crusty up top means exceedingly crusty down below...

I'm oot.

Can anyone decipher the supplier sticker? Cliff Dickenson, is that?

Very early Rekord D just outside Paris (registered in March 1972, very shortly after the series D was launched in late January of that year), €1500:

I could very much see myself cruising down the Champs-Élysées in this. Nice SD1 next to it on its driver's side.

1972?  That makes it one of the earliest survivors, although I notice it's on the L rather than the K that was current when the FE "Transcontinental" was launched.

I love these but I think you'd really need to know your stuff or have big plums to take on a non runner.
