That looks like a former bin lorry to me, no doubt @dozeydustman will know.

Edit, I scrolled back to previous post.

Haven’t seen a Sudden Accident of that shape for years. Never driven one though. May have been a Seddon-Allen Municipal number - crew cab with a Jack Allen body.

Didn't realise these late Magnums had such a funky dashboard.

Don't see why it would be.  £3.5K for a rolling resto Land Lobster doesn't seem ridiculously cheap.  Plus most of their listings are photographed in the same spot - the scammers usually have photos taken on random driveways all around the country / world.

I think ‘swift’ might be a slight stretch of the Trades Descriptions Act, mind you. Sturdy, yes.

I had an estate on the same year - was supposed to be swapping it with Torsten for a Renault 12 but it got pikey'd when scrap prices were at their peak.  It wasn't slow, but I certainly wouldn't have described it as "swift".  Bloody good turning circle mind.

Don’t think so. The previous owner of this car, the magnificent Droitwich Lloyd,  unfortunately died a year ago (this week in fact) before he got a chance to enjoy it. The 3 litre ended up with this dealer. Subsequently the car was flooded In the Snaith floods earlier this March. I heard that this firm lost a lot of stock.

Some graffiti piss-artist who painted over the landmark "Give Peas A Chance" graffiti (itself a few decades old) on the Chiltern Line viaduct over the M25.

Even “Give ...A Chance” was fairly recent. It just said PEAS for years and years

How can these not have been a success?  Why would anyone have  chosen a soddin'  XJ6 over one of these?  Just look at it!

Ahh, fair enough then. It just looks one hell of a lot of car for (compared to the usual price of them) a small amount of money.

When it comes to optimism, putting a clamp on this because you're worried somebody will nick it is taking the piss.

Probably worried someone will steal the clamp.
