Black Lotus is not going to be sold.

Reason being he looks so happy sitting there, the owner hasn’t the heart to move him on.

I fitted a lightly tuned 16v into a S1 106 Rallye with the super short gearbox. It was absolutely fantastic - only 130bhp or so but the car weighed nothing and there was no turbo lag like on absolutely everything nowadays. It pulled really hard all the way up to 118mph which was the rev limiter in 5th gear. A stripped S1 rallye weights about the same as an AX with all the bits still on it.

Here's an old video of me driving like a bit of a flute 15 years ago:

That looks like a former bin lorry to me, no doubt @dozeydustman will know.

Edit, I scrolled back to previous post.

Haven’t seen a Sudden Accident of that shape for years. Never driven one though. May have been a Seddon-Allen Municipal number - crew cab with a Jack Allen body.

Didn't realise these late Magnums had such a funky dashboard.

Don't see why it would be.  £3.5K for a rolling resto Land Lobster doesn't seem ridiculously cheap.  Plus most of their listings are photographed in the same spot - the scammers usually have photos taken on random driveways all around the country / world.

I think ‘swift’ might be a slight stretch of the Trades Descriptions Act, mind you. Sturdy, yes.

I had an estate on the same year - was supposed to be swapping it with Torsten for a Renault 12 but it got pikey'd when scrap prices were at their peak.  It wasn't slow, but I certainly wouldn't have described it as "swift".  Bloody good turning circle mind.

Don’t think so. The previous owner of this car, the magnificent Droitwich Lloyd,  unfortunately died a year ago (this week in fact) before he got a chance to enjoy it. The 3 litre ended up with this dealer. Subsequently the car was flooded In the Snaith floods earlier this March. I heard that this firm lost a lot of stock.
