BorniteIdentity
Low spec Audio 80e in splendid condition. Strange to think an equivalent Mercedes 190 would be considerably dearer and this is, in all likelihood, a better prospect. No need to rant about the number plate being blanked out. People do it. spartacus
That Audi looks lovely, they did make solid good looking cars back then in my opinion. Looking at the ad though it reckons 85bhp, from 2.0l ! My mate had a 1.8 and I don't remember it being too dire, surely that's not right?

They only weigh a bit over a tonne so that’s not too bad, especially if it’s a manual. With an autobox like mine, the 2.0E cruises well and keeps up but isn’t about to snap your neck at the traffic lights. Mr_Bo11ox
I had no idea how different those B3 and B4 Audis are. I thought the B4 was just yer typical facelift. The B4 is quite a few inches longer in the arse end for a start!!! BorniteIdentity and spartacus 1
spartacus
Thanks Skizzer, I'm not sure why I didn't think of that! I thought the same Bo11, having looked I see now it was a B3 my mate had. £1200 doesn't look too bad but I can't imagine the market is very good right now. The TDI I had was only 90bhp, with an auto 'box to sap a bit more power, and that kept up with traffic OK. spartacus

I remember seeing them at around the £795 mark and thinking "aye but the fuel". How fucking ignorant was I? I was probably doing about 15k a year at the time and could easily have got a little runabout as well. Wanker. Still, I suppose - via man manths - you can still justify it. Through the lense of "Old Skool Ford Yo" it's still not cripplingly expensive. You can spend 3 times this on an old Escort which will, I'm certain, deliver under a third of the joy. wuvvum and paulplom
