Have you ever wanted to drive a @Cavcraft picture?  Well now's your chance!

I photographed that a few years ago. G481FVX , it has 155k on the clock. The owner had a framed copy of the insurance company’s valuation proudly on display. £7k. Which is 1000 x more than a wonky MX5 with delusions of grandeur is actually worth.

I would feel SUCH a massive bell end driving that MX-5 thing. I can't see how you would not get openly laughed at by absolutely anyone who had the most basic knowledge of cars. Just awful.

You say that...

About 25 years ago, one Sunday I was working on a cab circuit in Milton Keynes. And happened to mention at a coffee break back at base that I’d just seen an F40 driving into a big hotel car park.  A couple of other drivers said they’d seen it too , but said it was yellow when in fact it was red.

Later on I saw the worse Fiero Ferrari replica I’d ever seen in my life , and yes it was yellow!

You'll have to go to Basildon to find out what Southcot Scent smells like

No you don't, I can describe it.....(It's on my working patch)

Take 1/3 sewage farm (about a mile away) 1/3 Eau d'chav 1/6 superstrength skunk 1/6 desperation and a pinch of underlying racial tension.

This doesn't actually look that fucked, but isn't it MASSIVE!

Have some crusty Bristol beauty:

It's usually the last section behind the C-pillars that gets all the bad press, as they commonly rot there.

The distorted bonnet lid lifting like that in the photo is something that happens with some CXs, mine included. Makes the car look as though it's sneering at everybody, because French.

Right then you absolute mingebags.  Stop running about in shitty old nails that cost you 2 days pay and an ounce of belly button fluff and buy a proper fucking car already.

I don't care how much it is.  It's glorious.  And if you add up the amount of money you've wasted on totally fucked Citroens and utterly hopeless soviet junk - then you'd be most of the way to the asking.

Chop chop now.  Don't disappoint.

Low spec Audio 80e in splendid condition.  Strange to think an equivalent Mercedes 190 would be considerably dearer and this is, in all likelihood, a better prospect.

No need to rant about the number plate being blanked out.  People do it.  Get over it.  Heal and grow.audi-80-e-se-S4235195-6.jpg

I suspect that will be being sold from the scrap yard down there. Volksmania/algys autos. Spot the fork lift!

That Audi looks lovely, they did make solid good looking cars back then in my opinion.

Looking at the ad though it reckons 85bhp, from 2.0l ! My mate had a 1.8 and I don't remember it being too dire, surely that's not right?

It's not right no.  The fuel injected 2 litre beater is about 115 horsies from memory.

85kw, so 113bhp. They only weigh a bit over a tonne so that’s not too bad, especially if it’s a manual.

With an autobox like mine, the 2.0E cruises well and keeps up but isn’t about to snap your neck at the traffic lights.

The TDI I had was only 90bhp, with an auto 'box to sap a bit more power, and that kept up with traffic OK.
