£9k and this is the best photo in the listing.  Not sure if the price or the poor photography is more shocking.

Actually neither is more shocking, the use of all caps and no punctuation in the write up is the most shocking part.  -178/10

I'm half-heartedly looking at Jeep Wranglers, I'm not sure why.
They're smaller, less practical and more expensive than a Cherokee, but I still want one,.
Meh, just a normal jeep, not massively cheap at £5250, I'm not keen on the window on the hard top, and I prefer the later coil sprung, round headlight TJs

Holy crap, I love that interior, maybe I could live with leaf springs and square headlights.

I remember going to the motor show when these were launched and reading through the spec sheets in front of each one.  The 2.5 litre was a bit slow but the 4 litre was fucking quick in acceleration, something like 7.5 seconds 0-60?

I believe you could get a new front end to fit round headlights to them

They had 2 types of Volvo turbo back when they were boxy and RWD, a high pressure turbo (HPT) and later a low pressure turbo (LPT).  The HPT is quick and rare, the LPT less so.

Fortunately it's really a matter of installing a manual boost controller and then watching the wheelspin, like this bloke has done.  It doesn't exactly scream "looked after", but what do you expect for a couple of hundred quid?

Want a Volvo 4x4 but worried about the troublesome geartronic box?  This one's a manual so you can stop worrying.

I mean the clutch is fucked, but you can't have everything.

Normal people can't afford an aircooled Beetle anymore but the "new Beetle" is much more in our price range.  They didn't really do a speedy one in the UK other than this 2.3 litre V5 engine.  As long as the ownership experience is less complicated than telling the difference between portrait and landscape, this one could be worth a look

£1500. in Purley. The seller is called Quentin, I shit you not. Check the mileage carefully.

Although the Facebook account belongs to someone completely different so it's probably fake news.

Quite unusual to find a manual XC90 too, I remember when these were a big car but you could park it next to a new 4x4 and feel completely inadequate.

I currently drive an 07 one.....they're still not smoll, trust me! I'm actually going to watch this one, older than mine but lower miles and manual. My geartronic box is 'flairing' worst outcome  a new valve body, but I suspect it needs complete replacement of engine mounts and some more turbo hoses. I've chucked £1500 at mine in the last two months and I'm getting sick of it's neediness! Other than that I 'kind' of like mine - of that make's any sense? When  behaving it's a comfy, secure place to be!

These are quite a looker.  I didn't know they did a 2 litre, the 2.4 couldn't have been especially quick

Had a C70 T5 in Kingfisher Blue back in the day! Loved it, Great to drive, never gave me much bother- comfiest seats ever and finished in cream half leather/half alcantara!

Sadly it got nicked by a bunch of dodgy Polish guys....but that's 12 years ago now.

That's the place where  @shaun1706 got his Mk2 Escort from all those years ago. Had an enjoyable run out going to collect that,  will try and find the photo/s.

I read too many Ford dealer brochures in the late 70s and early 80s so I'm going to stick my neck out and suggest that's an L and not a base because the base model didn't have the double trim line along the sills.
