I know this was posted about a week ago but it's still up on Car&Classic, unless it's been sold and the listing hasn't been updated:

It says it originally had silver interior trim, I wonder what that looked like?

Very similar to this slightly newer Granada.

Nine bags though. Do the sort of people who drop that much money on a super-shiny old Merc want to debase themselves with heavy oil?

Am I out of touch, or is one of these without an engine really worth £2450, with a days bidding to go?

I knows it's from the 'hewn from granite' era, but really?

Not shite money though, obvs.

Thirty grand is about right for a Venturi. Wouldn't mind having that. There was a car that should have sold quite well, but never took off here. CX S2 door mirrors.

Wasn't Packard the last company to sell a car with an inline 8 cylinder or did Buick keep them going longer?
Anyway, this is a lovely old thing and not that dear either for what you're getting.

BTW, is there a dummies guide on here for embedding the links into the picture so you just click on the pic to get to the ad?

The floppytop is probably the most valuable/sought-after of the W124 range, so it's about right.
