Ha, that's very local to me.

Spotted it on NYD and wondered when it would be for sale. Bonus pre-2001 Lutz Headline use as well.

They missed a trick by not having that bird's legs over the top half of the door, then when the bottom bit opens having a big bush inside.

Herald roofs just bolt on iirc, so no dramas.

Convertibles have extra bracing though, on a saloon the roof provides quite a lot of structural rigidity so taking the lid off and driving about does it no favours. You can see by the door shuts on that one that it's starting to fold in on itself a bit.

this could be a nice cheap to run motor, if it wasn't rotten.

Yep, that price is about twice what I would say it was actually worth.

That’s lovely. If I ever bought another Minor, it would have to be something like this. My original was a 1969 2 door in trafalgar blue, so I’m definitely biased! This particular one is the very last of the line as a ‘71 on a J.

Good that the trader suggests there’s no welding required, but this quote seems rather arrogant:

We have not had this car running and nor do we intend to
We are assured by the seller when bought that the engine is good
