.....does it have RHD or LHD head lamps, RHD steering wheel for easy post box access, but was made for use on US roads so I imagine it would have LHD head lamps still?)

If it has a current MoT, then the headlights would have been changed to RHD, otherwise no pass!

Shame about it needing a door - I would imagine that getting an accurate paint match to that particular shade of pogweasel could be a bit of a challenge.

I’m fairly sure that dent will push/pull out and then you could just blend the paint.

Assuming you didn’t just prefer the Joseph look, of course.

I have never seen an Avanti kit car, and in fact I still haven’t because this is the best picture.

Excellent condition with no rust at all

It’s made of bloody fibreglass.

MoT and Tax exempt

I think you might find this counts as a substantial modification, so no it isn’t.

Verdict: You’re not even trying, are you? Moron.

Bonus "It's got Marina door handles!" moment. God bless the BL parts bin.

I imagine that's similar to the Ford Ranger I had to drive occasionally at work. Even with a fairly lethargic diesel the rear would skip about quite easily when unladen.

Not a Mercedes guy but I think this gen c-class has aged very well, especially with no silly sporty agenda. Bit of a chequered MOT history - failed a while ago on brake pads being less than 1.5mm. I never seen that before?

Look at the pissing two-and-eight of the thing. I'd rather spend the night camped out  in Jordan's minge.

On the plus side, this was lurking in the 'suggested items' at the bottom of the page when I looked at the horror:

Hopefully this rare and interesting French 'van isn't just about to fall into the hands of some cuntfuttock who'll paint it pink and festoon the poor old thing in bunting...

When ever you see the good old "chocolate block (even white chocolate versions)" in a picture, you know you're on to a 'winner'.

Wahey!  White bumpers, Sercks, miserable LS spec, yellow cloth seats ... and a grille made out of a potato sack but with the Chrysler badge stapled on not far from the right place.

Seller says ‘weak engine’ (huh?) but it sounds like it just needs a service, poor wee thing.

I had a 3dr one in that colour and engine, cracking little car and went a lot better than 39bhp suggested it should have.

Sold on at a profit to a complete nightmare person in 1994!!!

Tidy looking Lada, as far as anyone can tell from five shit photos.

When did these get to be expensive?  And why? This one starts at £2250 - that lovely Rover 2600 I posted the other day finished at a touch over half that, in similar condition.

Also

That would be a collection thread and a half.

I absolutely LOVE this.  If I thought I could get in and out of it without losing £vitalorgans then I'd buy one and run it as my company car for a while!

I really do want to try some 80s YankShite in 2020.  Keep them coming!

This looks GLORIOUS.  Obviously shipping one in yourself is way, way more fun - but for those of us who like to lead simpler lives perhaps it's not so bad just buying one that's already here?

s-l1600.jpg

The wheels look a bit good, and the hole in the roof probably needs attention, otherwise I'm not sure I'd be doing much at all.

I first saw this one advertised at least six months ago. I'm sure it was minimal money and auction.

New owner + chancer?

Delusional on price, but the old girl definitely needs a second chance. I guess at least the oval nuggets won't be getting their mitts on it for that sort of dollar, which can only be a good thing.

I’ve seen this in the flesh, Same guy who I nearly bought a ‘65 Vespa frame from. Turned out to be bent when I arrived to pick it up.

Nice chap, but as one of his bits of eBay feedback says: “nice guy, terrible mechanic”.

I thought it rang a faint bell.  At least it runs.  I’m already long on rusty Simcas otherwise I might.

£900 is toppy but not completely insane compared with some of the stuff you see; £600 probably about the going rate given its rarity?  The days of £200 for a running 1970s car have mostly gone, I think.

That's not a bad thing. I always thought the Alpines and Horizons were the underdogs re value and desirability though when compared to Sunbeams.  I'd guess he'd still struggle to net £600 with 99% of the general public and the fact it's a scruffbag with no MOT. Happy to be proven wrong though.

MOT history is interesting reading... it looks as though it was fired up and driven for MOT each year for many years and then sat for the following twelve months.

" These also make an ideal basis for a Ferrari kit car. "

Wish there was a Pontiac body kit available for rusty '80s Ferraris........   Anyway, with 90 horsepower and a 3 speed Hydramatic, this is right up my street.image.jpeg.42fa6f26a8c876ce7f6bb277aea4b858.jpeg

I think I would prefer this on plain old steel wheels, but these cars are a nice, neat shape that to my eyes has aged at least as well as that of the small '80s Ferraris.
