Had one in for repair years ago and it was rapid but you do need to wind it up a bit but then it lifts its skirt and off it goes. Proper comfy/wafty. Ireland seemed to sell well for car based vans; the motor tax structure really encouraged their purchase, cheaper motor tax. Citroen for a long time sold panel car based vans in Ireland. There was a BX and an Xsara van sold there. As you probably well know yourself, just about anything was available as a van here back in the day. I'd say the Peugeot 205 was probably most common, an XRAD van was king of the road for 18-24 year old lads...like this one: https://www.donedeal.ie/vintagecars-for-sale/peugeot-205-xrad-vans/23050295 Which can be yours....for six grand.
